A dramatic in-situ concrete clad living space extends the existing house to provide a new engagement with the garden and tennis court to compliment the first floor living spaces. The extension’s curved form entices pedestrian movement into the rear garden while its flexible cavernous internal space is suited to a multitude of holiday activities. The house has been significantly refurbished with a reordering of the ground floor, new bathrooms and kitchen, new first floor deck as well as the replacement of the building envelope with a heavily insulated more energy efficient skin supplemented by photovoltaic energy generation.
