This two storey extension to a Victorian single fronted terrace house in North Carlton is populated by a myriad of rooflights and lanterns allowing daylight to cascade through the house and settle upon the mellow tonings of the burnished concrete slab below.  A deck nestled within the existing roofscape and an abridged Juliet balcony to the primary bedroom provide upper level connections to outside while the lower level living spaces open up to the garden.  The rear elevation is clad in earthy terracotta toned dry pressed bricks with a crown of copper above.
